Under “Self Employment Scheme” job oriented course means a candidate may establish / open his/her own clinical laboratory, X-ray, ECG Centre.
Employment Opportunities: More than 3,50,000 Medical Laboratory Technicians will be required in Alma-Atta Declaration i.e. “Health for all by 2,000 A.D.” as country’s population would rise to more than 90 crores.
The Diploma holder will be suitable for appointment as technician / assistant in Govt. / Private Hospitals / Nursing Homes / PHCs.
The Diploma holder may be open his/her own laboratory / x-ray / ECG Centre in any part of the country subject to state law’s or under the supervision of Medical Professional Pathologist / Radiologist.
